Beer Tasting Train – CANCELLED 2020
Unfortunately due to COVID19 there isn’t a good way to we can pull off this annual event. Hopefully we will have it again next year! Current ticket holders will be notified.
The annual Beer Train is hosted by the area’s leading local breweries and brew pubs.Wander the train during this 2.5 hour ride and visit various beer tasting vendors and sample what they have to offer. In the First Class section of the train, have a seat in our fancy dining car, your ticket will also include food, gifts and MORE BEER! There is usually an after party at a local pub with drink specials, more info to come.
This train always sells out, space is limited.
Some of the breweries tentatively featured: Blacklist, Castle Danger, Bent Paddle, South Shore, Lagunitas, New Belgium, City Lights, Boston Beer, Earth Rider, Indeed, Beaver Island… and hopefully a few more we can’t confirm just yet.
Coach/General Admission $45,
Coach seats are general seating and tastings in two bar-cars with all the beer you can taste.
First Class $70,
First Class seats include complementary local pizza and pub snacks, a seat in the Elegant Dining Car, and table service beer tasting.
Designated Driver $25,
Coach seating only, and includes the ride with complimentary soda/juice/water from the concession stand. All passengers must be 21 or older to ride this train. DD’s can hang with the party, just can’t get any beer samples.

This excursion is a fundraiser event for the Lake Superior Railroad Museum’s mission to preserve, interpret and present to the public the history of railroading, especially as it relates to our area.
