Volunteering at the North Shore Scenic Railroad & Lake Superior Railroad Museum
Join the crews of the trains or help out around the museum. We offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities for many ages and abilities. Just last season alone, volunteers donated over 14,000 hours, and over 90,000 people visited the railroad (more than the population of Duluth)!
Traincrew
Experience in railroading and railroad knowledge are not required to join the crew. We provide class room and hands-on training to ensure all volunteers have the skills and ability to work on a safe and enjoyable railroad.
