Grandma’s Marathon Viewer

| $90Watch Grandmas Marathon in the most unique and comfortable way, onboard the coaches of the North Shore Scenic Railroad. The train will be at the starting line with enough time to find your favorite runner, and watch the start of the race. We will then parallel the race course and keep pace with the lead runners for the first few miles, before we head back to Duluth so you can get to the finish line in time for the first marathoners to cross. A truly unique experience you won’t want to miss!
Timeline of this excursion:
- 5:45am: Depart Duluth Union Depot, enjoy food and drinks on the way to the starting line.
- 5:50am: Brief stop at DECC platform to board additional passengers from this location.
- 7:30am: Watch the race begin! Follow alongside the elite runners for the first few miles of the race.
- 8:30-9:00: Option to de-board for Canal Park to catch the first Finishers of the race.
- 9:00am: Return to Duluth Depot.

All inclusive: breakfast, snacks, all drinks, including a bloody mary bar with mimosas, and a hosted excursion by Ken Buehler, along with radio coverage of the marathon event, and a Grandmas 48th Annual Marathon Souvenir Gift Package, which include: Commemorative Lanyard, Fitsoks, logo decal, and Bleecher Passes for the finish line. This year’s updated breakfast menu is: Banana parfait to start, Marathon Egg Bake, cheesy potatoes, sausage/bacon, berry shortcake dessert.
Dome Lounge: $75 (SOLD OUT)
Enjoy seats in the upper domecar of the “Silver Club” dome, as well as the more spacious open seating of the lower level. Breakfast is NOT included with this seating option. However, a tray of complimentary pastries/doughnuts will be available, along with coffee/water, and additional concessions for sale, such as candy/chips.

Official boarding/departure for this train is the Duluth Depot. However, marathon runners board a separate train and busses at the Duluth Entertainment & Convention Center (DECC). The viewing train will also make a stop at the DECC to take on additional passengers. You can choose to board at the DECC if you wish to see your runner onto their bus/train, and the viewing train will pull up after the departure of the runners train at 5:45. The DECC has large parking ramps.
