Whiskey Tasting Dinner on the Diner
June 8, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Old Forester is a brand of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey produced by the Brown-Forman Corporation. It is officially the longest running Bourbon on the market today. It was first bottled and marketed in 1870 by the former pharmaceutical salesman turned bourbon-merchant George Garvin Brown. During the Prohibition period from 1920 to 1933, it was one of only 10 brands authorized for lawful production.
On June 8th this year, samplings from the distillery are paired with fine foods in the dining car, aboard this 2.5 hour train excursion on the North Shore of Lake Superior.
Elegant dining in a grand style reminiscent of the Golden Age of railroading with delicious whiskey samples included. Chefs from The Exchange, in Duluth, will prepare unique menus onboard our Lake of the Isles dining car. Enjoy delicious cuisine and beautiful scenery along the Lakefront Line. Reservations are required.
Tickets also include the Silver Club Dome Car Lounge, where you can move to stretch your legs after dinner, and then have an after dinner beverage in the Dome Car.
