Watch Grandmas Marathon in the most unique and comfortable way, onboard the coaches of the North Shore Scenic Railroad. The train will be at the starting line with enough time to find your favorite runner, and watch the start of the race. We will then parallel the race course and keep pace with the lead runners for the first few miles, before we head back to Duluth so you can get to the finish line in time for the first marathoners to cross. A truly unique experience you won’t want to miss! 

Timeline of this excursion:

• 5:45am: Depart Duluth Union Depot, enjoy food and drinks on the way to the starting line.
• 5:50am: Brief stop at DECC platform to board additional passengers from this location.
• 7:30am: Watch the race begin! Follow alongside the elite runners for the first few miles of the race.
• 8:30-9:00: Option to de-board for Canal Park to catch the first Finishers of the race.
• 9:00am: Return to Duluth Depot.

All Tickets: $90
All inclusive: breakfast, snacks, all drinks, including a bloody mary bar with mimosas, and a hosted excursion by Ken Buehler, along with radio coverage of the marathon event, and a Grandmas 48th Annual Marathon Souvenir Gift Package, which include: Commemorative Lanyard, Fitsoks, logo decal, and Bleecher Passes for the finish line.   This year’s updated breakfast menu is: Banana parfait to start, Marathon Egg Bake, cheesy potatoes, sausage/bacon, berry shortcake dessert.

Two Seating Options: There will be two traincars you can choose seats on this year, with a single-level table/dining car, as well as the SkyView Domecar with booth-style seating on the upper level. All seats are the same price, and all seats have access to upper level viewing areas in one of our TWO domecars, as well as two other open-air viewing areas to wander to.
