Be a railroad Barron for the day and ride on the Car Northland. A presidential car, that is the pride of the Lake Superior Railroad Museum collection. This special opportunity to ride this car is a fundraiser for the Lake Superior Railroad Museum. All tickets are $100 each and directly support the museum.

You will be treated to the ride, beverages included, light snacks, and a hosted ride for only a maximum of 20 passengers. The trip will be attached to the Duluth Zephyr, 75 minute ride,  through downtown Duluth, a little way up the North Shore through Congdon Park, and to the neighborhood of Lakeside, where the train stops briefly to turn around. On the way back, enjoy the Car Northland’s amazing back platform!

This train is not Wheelchair Accessible due to its historic nature, but the Duluth Zephyr excursion (at the same time) is accessible in another car. More on that can be found at www.DuluthTrains.com.

All passengers on this car (ages 0+) must purchase a ticket. Children must be supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times.

Doors close 2 minutes prior to departure for safety checks. Any passengers who arrive after this time will not be permitted to board and will not receive a refund.

Museum Passes can be added at the half-off combination rate of $7 adults and $4 for children. If you’re not sure you’ll have time for the museum, you can still get this discount and add passes on the day you arrive.
